What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to payroll calendars.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party processors to maintain compliant payroll administration.
  • Oversee retirement contributions, loan payments, and electronic funds transfers in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Review and sign payroll tax returns, compliance reports, and coordinate the resolution of filing issues.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients, handling escalated payroll requests and employment verifications.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff by assigning work and monitoring professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive payroll experience, including managing complex matters for multiple clients.
  • Technical proficiency in payroll systems, accounting software, and advanced MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing interactions.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Peoria, IL.
