What you will do
- Lead the entire manufacturing readiness process for next-generation data center products, including core/spine switches and specialized line cards.
- Drive strategic planning for production line layout, capacity modeling, and capital equipment procurement to support hyperscale demand.
- Function as the DFX expert, leading in-depth DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews to maximize yield and quality for 400G/800G+ interconnects.
- Manage the manufacturing and testing of advanced thermal solutions, specifically water and liquid cooling systems.
- Architect and implement robust System-Level Functional Test (FT) strategies and oversee the lifecycle of Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Provide expert sustaining engineering guidance to resolve complex issues related to signal integrity and optical module failures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years dedicated to NPI in the data center networking industry.
- Expert knowledge of high-layer count PCBA manufacturing and specialized soldering/rework for BGA/FC-BGA components.
- Proven track record in designing and qualifying production Functional Test (FT) systems for complex network systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced statistical and quality tools (PFMEA, SPC, DOE).
- Must be based in or authorized to work in the USA (Santa Clara, CA).
Nice to have
- Experience managing manufacturing processes at global Contract Manufacturers (CMs) or ODMs.
- Hands-on experience with immersive or liquid cooling solutions for network processors.
- Experience with Signal Integrity analysis techniques (TDR, VNA) and optical power testing.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as JMP or Python for statistical analysis.
