Senior Electrical Test / Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Build and maintain real-time test and control applications on NI cRIO, PXI, and DAQ platforms using LabVIEW, VeriStand, and Python.
• Integrate and troubleshoot CAN bus, EtherCAT, Modbus, TCP/IP, and related industrial communication protocols.
• Diagnose electrical faults in medium- to high-power test systems, including ripple, transient noise, EMI, and grounding failures.
• Lead grounding architecture reviews and remediation across the Product Realization Lab.
• Use oscilloscopes, signal conditioning hardware, and bench instrumentation to characterize electrical anomalies.
• Support system bring-up, integration verification, validation, software updates, bug fixes, and in-field troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Proven experience developing real-time LabVIEW applications on cRIO and PXI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with CAN bus, EtherCAT, Modbus, and TCP/IP in deployed systems.
• Python proficiency for test automation, data analysis, and tooling.
• Electrical experience with grounding architecture, oscilloscope-based fault diagnosis, and signal conditioning in mixed-voltage environments.
• Experience with Git and structured software development practices.

Nice to have

• NI Certified LabVIEW Developer or Architect certification.
• Experience in aerospace, EV powertrain, motor drive, or power electronics test environments.
• HIL or real-time validation experience with NI, dSPACE, Speedgoat, or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with NI SystemLink, DIAdem, TestStand, EtherNet/IP, LIN, RS-232/485, or electrical CAD tools.
