Battery System Engineer (Electric Vehicles)

What you will do

• Analyze competitor battery pack solutions across passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and construction machinery, producing technical assessment and insight reports.
• Track battery technology trends, benchmark product iterations, and maintain a dynamic competitor technology database.
• Lead benchmark testing and validation, comparing performance, reliability, cost, and application adaptability.
• Plan battery pack system solutions, including technology selection, architecture definition, and technical route formulation.
• Support requirements analysis, solution reviews, technical problem-solving, and validation strategy throughout battery development.
• Coordinate technical reviews and collaboration across design, BMS, validation, and process teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in the power battery industry.
• Experience with battery solution design, selection evaluation, competitor analysis, or electrification projects for commercial vehicles or construction machinery.
• Strong knowledge of battery cells, battery pack architecture, thermal management, structural design, and core BMS logic.
• Experience with competitor analysis, technical and cost assessment, data analysis, benchmarking tools, and professional technical reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, IEC 62660, UN 38.3, construction machinery electrification compliance, battery supply chains, and cost structures.

Nice to have

• Experience leading the selection and implementation of battery solutions for at least three complete vehicle electrification projects.
• Practical experience in construction machinery or commercial vehicle electrification.
