What you will do

  • Design a robust prototype Li-ion battery pack, including cell selection, pack architecture, protection, monitoring, and charging.
  • Develop robot-wide high-current power distribution with bus architecture, regeneration handling, fusing, and pre-charge.
  • Own the electrical safety chain, including emergency stops, contactors, and fault-disconnection paths.
  • Design and route power and communication wiring harnesses through the robot's joints and limbs.
  • Define connectors and cabling for high-flex, high-current operation and integrate power domains for Jetson computers, cameras, and IMUs.
  • Validate and instrument the power system under real locomotion loads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of system-level electrical design experience in robotics, automotive, drones, or battery-powered machines.
  • Hands-on experience with Li-ion battery pack design and BMS integration.
  • Experience designing high-current DC power distribution and protection systems.
  • Practical harness design experience, including routing, strain relief, and connectors for moving mechanisms.
  • Strong laboratory skills and a safety-driven working culture.

Nice to have

  • Experience with EV or automotive power systems or legged robotics.
  • EMI/EMC mitigation experience in dense electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with regenerative braking energy handling in motor-driven systems.
  • Comfort communicating technical topics in English with international teams.
