What you will do

  • Lead the development and execution of global publication plans, including manuscripts, abstracts, and congress presentations.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality scientific content and manage medical writing teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Act as the primary Client and Project Manager for scientific communications projects, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Contribute to the Global Medical Affairs leadership team to shape solution offerings and drive innovation.
  • Mentor and manage a high-performing team of medical writers and publication managers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business units to deliver integrated Medical Affairs solutions.

Requirements

  • Medical or Scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in medical or scientific communications with a focus on publications planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of publication guidelines, including GPP, ICMJE, PRISMA, CONSORT, and STROBE.
  • Proven track record in manuscript development and managing publication vendors.
  • Must be based in Boston, MA, USA.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency with tools like Veeva Systems and reference management software.

Nice to have

  • Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) certification.
  • Passion for technology, innovation (including AI), and process improvement.
  • Experience working in an Agile culture and fast-paced environments.
