TL;DR

Risk Manager (Fintech): Establishing and maturing an enterprise-wide risk management program for a high-growth financial platform with an accent on operational, strategic, and emerging risks. Focus on conducting RCSAs, developing risk appetite statements, and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to support informed decision-making.

Location: Must be based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY (Hybrid: in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $115,000 - $135,000

What you will do

  • Support Risk and Controls Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and enterprise risk management initiatives.
  • Evaluate operational and strategic risks associated with new product launches and business changes.
  • Establish and maintain risk appetite statements, tolerance thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Design and improve enterprise risk management frameworks within Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems.
  • Provide guidance to business teams on risk trends and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management within regulated financial services (banks, fintech, or broker-dealers).
  • Deep knowledge of ERM principles, governance structures, and risk frameworks.
  • Experience communicating complex risk and control requirements to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and evaluating control effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level audiences.
