What you will do

• Lead the design, integration, and realization of complex opto-mechanical systems.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery for module performance and major project scope.
• Manage technical trade-offs across sub-modules and system interfaces.
• Shape the multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for the domain.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external partners in complex environments.
• Execute validation activities to ensure release readiness from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in a relevant engineering field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in optics, lasers, and opto-mechanical domains.
• Expertise in precision motion, laser physics, and tolerancing.
• Ability to translate requirements into clear, traceable technical specifications.
• Experience in planning and executing system integration and validation.
• Must be based in San Jose, CA.
