What you will do

• Develop and package optical components, including laser packages and fiber-arrays, for Silicon Photonics products.
• Manage the full life-cycle of components, from design and procurement to high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with assembly partners on process development for component integration.
• Perform performance and reliability assessments of final assemblies.
• Build test and demonstration vehicles to integrate optical assemblies into larger systems.

Requirements

• Strong experience with fiber-optic and integrated-optics components and sub-assemblies.
• Deep understanding of production processes for micro-optics and fiber-optic interface devices.
• Experience running reliability assessment and qualification programs.
• Proficiency with free-space design software (Zemax, Code-V).
• Proficiency with mechanical design software (Solidworks or similar).
• Ability to collect and analyze large datasets using JMP, DataConductor, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-fiber connectors.
• Prior experience with vendor engagements for component procurement.
