What you will do

• Support the design, integration, and validation of subsystems and full electron-beam imaging systems.
• Set up experiments, collect data, and analyze results to understand system behavior.
• Diagnose technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and algorithm engineers across the product lifecycle.
• Assist with early-stage prototype builds, system readiness, and customer-facing tool deployments.
• Contribute ideas to enhance system performance, reliability, and test methods.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Milpitas, CA, USA.
• Proven experience in setting up experiments, modeling, and complex data analysis.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory or experimental environments (research, internships, or industry).
• Proficiency in scripting (MATLAB, Python, or similar) for data collection and analysis.
• Experience with machine control and/or scientific data analysis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of signal processing and optical/electro-optical systems (e.g., electron microscopes).
• Exposure to vacuum systems, electron optics, and high-voltage systems (SEM).
• Experience supporting prototype systems or advanced lab equipment.
