Director, Manufacturing Operations (Semiconductor)

Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, United States; occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $182,000–$230,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead the Sub-assembly, Assembly, and Test teams at the San Jose factory.
• Own manufacturing execution, on-time shipments, customer commitments, quality, safety, and ISO compliance.
• Set budgets, resource plans, and productivity roadmaps for site manufacturing operations.
• Build and develop a high-performing organization through recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, and talent assessment.
• Lead quality investigations and improvement plans using structured problem solving, 8D analysis, and Shift-Left activities.
• Execute product transitions, insourcing and outsourcing initiatives, lean programs, automated testing, and modular final test improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or operations management.
• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in operations leadership, including management of an organization larger than 30 people.
• Required experience with Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, 8D, data analytics, and statistical process control.
• Leadership experience in complex capital equipment manufacturing; semiconductor or related high-tech industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial and business acumen, process discipline, manufacturability knowledge, and experience managing internal and supplier manufacturing operations.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams through vision-setting, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.

Nice to have

• Design for Manufacturability training or experience.
• Experience with SAP and world-class MES systems.
