Salary: $127,500 - $187,500 base + $150,000 variable compensation

What you will do

  • Own and achieve annual state-level revenue targets for a defined territory.
  • Lead complex, multi-year contract negotiations from prospecting through close.
  • Navigate state procurement processes, RFPs, and funding structures.
  • Build trusted relationships with Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and other state-level decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Government Affairs and lobbyists to identify priorities and secure funding.
  • Align state messaging with policy drivers and coordinate with internal teams for successful implementation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in K–12 education, edtech, or adjacent sectors.
  • Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue goals in public-sector sales.
  • Experience selling directly to State Education Agencies or similar state-level entities.
  • Deep understanding of state procurement cycles, funding structures, and complex decision timelines.
  • Ability to travel 30% - 50% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
