What you will do
- Supervise private fleet drivers, manage schedules, and ensure safe dispatch and return operations.
- Monitor productivity KPIs and optimize driver routes to improve truck utilization and service levels.
- Ensure strict compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and EHS regulations, including electronic logs and safety training.
- Coordinate fleet maintenance, repairs, and asset management with internal departments and external vendors.
- Resolve tactical carrier performance issues and collaborate with the District Transportation Planner.
- Conduct accident investigations, safety inspections, and customer site visits to address delivery challenges.
Requirements
- Must be based in Middletown, PA
- 5+ years of supervisory leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.
- Experience managing and dispatching drivers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic understanding of Transportation Management software or SAP.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations.
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment.
- HazMat certification or TWIC credentials.
