What you will do

• Generate new business and source property for main and mid-season Chinese Works of Art (CWOA) sales.
• Perform research and catalogue objects to the highest standards to meet sale deadlines.
• Organize preview exhibitions and travelling exhibitions in China and Hong Kong.
• Manage day-to-day client enquiries, write condition reports, and provide valuations.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to actively promote and sell global CWOA sales.
• Support on-site auctions, including managing telephone bidding.

Requirements

• Degree educated or equivalent qualification.
• Proven expertise in Chinese Works of Art (CWOA) with in-depth market knowledge.
• Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (spoken and written) is required.
• Established network of contacts within the CWOA market.
• Ability to travel to regional locations for sweeps, client visits, and exhibitions.
• Functional knowledge of the auction process, including shipping regulations, taxation, and compliance.
