TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Commercial Contracts): Providing first-level legal support for the Mail business team in North America with an accent on drafting and negotiating hardware, leasing, and software agreements. Location: Must be based in or able to work from Markham, Canada, with a hybrid work model.

Salary: CAD 176,000 – CAD 192,000 yearly

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including hardware sales, leasing, and software contracts.
• Provide general commercial legal support to the Sales team.
• Monitor legal developments and conduct internal training for operational teams.
• Contribute to the implementation and development of company policies and procedures in the sales space.
• Advise internal clients on legal risks to ensure compliance with company policies and law.

Requirements

• US qualified legal professional with 3-5 years of experience in contract law.
• Strong experience with hardware and leasing agreements.
• Good knowledge of software agreements.
• Extensive experience working as an in-house counsel for an international company.
• Excellent drafting and negotiating skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
