What you will do

• Design and own the curated data model layer across 18 distinct data domains.
• Implement structured dbt project architecture following staging, intermediate, and marts patterns.
• Define and enforce comprehensive data quality frameworks, including freshness checks and anomaly detection.
• Interface directly with business stakeholders to validate model outputs against CDP activation needs.
• Establish best practices for naming conventions, modular design, and code reviews.
• Partner with data engineers and architects to ensure seamless data flow from ingestion to activation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• 3+ years in a lead or senior role influencing technical standards.
• Expert-level proficiency in dbt, including macros, packages, and advanced testing.
• Expert-level SQL skills with complex transformations and performance optimization.
• Strong dimensional modeling skills for analytical flexibility and CDP consumption.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data stack, specifically Athena or Redshift.

Nice to have

• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Background in data observability tooling such as Monte Carlo or Elementary.
• Familiarity with CDP platforms and BI layers like Looker or Tableau.
• Experience in a consulting or client-services environment.
