What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers with a focus on career growth and performance management.
• Own the design and delivery of scalable backend systems, APIs, and partner integrations.
• Treat backend systems as products, ensuring flexibility, extensibility, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, SRE, and Operations to deliver high-quality solutions and resolve production issues.
• Establish and evolve engineering best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Guide the thoughtful adoption of AI tools across the development lifecycle to improve velocity and quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise in system design, APIs, distributed systems, and modern backend architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure deployment.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL data storage, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Practical experience using AI-powered development tools effectively.
