Salary: $197,000 – $274,000 USD (depending on location)

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team through hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Own the reliability and quality of fulfillment integrations, partnering with vendors to reduce friction and improve turnaround times.
• Partner with Product to define and execute the roadmap for employment, education, and compliance screening products.
• Drive technical strategy for scaling complex, integration-heavy systems while reducing manual exceptions.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to increase velocity without compromising quality.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional planning with Product, Compliance, and leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer with strong command of service architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience managing complex third-party integration environments and high-stakes production systems.
• Proven ability to improve operational metrics and lead incident management.
• Experience working on regulated products where data accuracy and legal compliance are non-negotiable.
• Must be able to work from the office 3+ days a week in Denver or San Francisco.
