What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers focused on developer experience and platform tooling.
• Own the delivery of initiatives to improve build/test times, deployment frequency, and onboarding experience.
• Guide architecture and tooling decisions for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems to improve developer ergonomics.
• Embed AI-powered development tools and workflows into the lifecycle to accelerate productivity and code quality.
• Partner with senior leadership, security, and product engineering to ensure safe and reliable software delivery.
• Manage, mentor, and support engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and developer empathy.

Requirements

• Must be based in San Francisco for hybrid work.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience in rapidly growing organizations.
• Experience building platform systems including Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Istio in public clouds (AWS or GCP).
• Proven track record of using metrics (e.g., DORA) to drive improvements in developer productivity.
• Strong experience leading hiring efforts and performance management for engineering teams.
• Expertise in leveraging AI tools and workflows to materially improve engineering velocity.
