TL;DR
Quality Assurance Tester (QA Automation) (US Government Software): Designing and executing automated and manual tests for mission-critical Air Force and Space Force human resources systems with an accent on system reliability, performance testing, and test automation. Focus on developing CI/CD pipelines, applying DevSecOps and Agile practices, and mentoring junior QA testers.
Location: Remote within the United States is implied by the US Government background investigation and Air Force/Space Force mission requirements.

What you will do
- Design, execute, and maintain complex test processes for software components, modules, and subsystems.
- Develop and run automated and manual test cases using ALM Octane, Selenium, LoadRunner, and Postman.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, recommend solutions, and document findings for clients and leadership.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders on Test-Driven Development, Agile delivery, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
- Conduct system performance testing and contribute to process improvements across cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior QA testers and recommend improvements based on emerging testing tools and technologies.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on quality assurance testing experience.
- Proficiency with test automation and performance tools, including ALM Octane, Selenium, LoadRunner, and Postman.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
- Bachelor's degree in software quality assurance or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass a US Government background investigation, drug screen, and background check.
Nice to have
- US Government clearance at Secret level or above.
- Experience with Air Force Human Resource IT systems.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and Air Force Cloud One.
- Experience in application modernization or cloud migration.
- Expertise in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
