Software Test Engineer I (QA Automation)

Location: Mumbai, India only; onsite, hybrid, or remote depending on location

What you will do

• Create and maintain automated tests from manual test scripts and test cases.
• Test complex API, web, and mobile applications backed by databases.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and execute automated test suites through continuous integration.
• Reproduce, debug, isolate, and verify fixes for software defects.
• Prepare test plans, cases, procedures, reports, schedules, and release-readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on requirements, usability, functionality, risks, and solutions.

Requirements

• Based in or willing to work from Mumbai; Mumbai is mandatory.
• 2–5 years of QA or test automation experience, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong automation experience with API and web testing.
• Hands-on coding ability in Java, Python, or C# and familiarity with object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile practices, basic builds, deployments, and continuous integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent business experience; strong debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
