Product Engineer (C#/React)

Location: London (Shoreditch), hybrid; office attendance required 3 days per week. Core hours are 10am–4pm. Up to 4 weeks of work from anywhere per year is available.

Salary: £80,000–£115,000 per year plus £30,000 in share options.

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from refining problems with clinicians and product managers through architecture, implementation, rollout, and long-term evolution.
• Engage with NHS GPs, practice staff, and patients through research sessions and practice visits.
• Design system architecture and API boundaries with the broader platform in mind.
• Build production software across the backend and frontend stack.
• Maintain reliability, usability, and safety in a clinical context.
• Improve system health, manage technical debt, and make sustainable architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Production software development experience across the stack, with strong expertise in at least one technical area.
• Ability to reason about systems, break down ambiguous problems, and identify trade-offs and second-order effects.
• Experience shaping work from early problem definition rather than waiting for a finished specification.
• Strong engineering judgment, including critical assessment of AI-generated output and pragmatic management of technical debt.
• Curiosity about AI tools, with the judgment to understand when they should and should not be used.
• Ability to own outcomes, influence across teams, navigate disagreement, and make effective architectural decisions.
