Salary: £80,000–£115,000 + £30,000 share options

What you will do

• Own features end-to-end: refine the problem with clinicians and product managers, then drive architecture, implementation, rollout, and long-term evolution.
• Engage directly with NHS GPs, practice staff, and patients through research sessions and practice visits.
• Design system-aware architecture and API boundaries across the broader platform.
• Maintain a high quality bar for clinical reliability, safety, and intuitive product behavior.
• Make architectural decisions that keep the codebase sustainable while shipping features.
• Use engineering judgment to experiment with AI tools and review AI-generated output critically.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in at least one area (backend or frontend) with proven ability to build, debug, and improve production systems.
• Ability to reason about complex systems: break ambiguous problems into tractable pieces and anticipate trade-offs and second-order effects.
• Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage problem definition; shape work rather than wait for a finished spec.
• Experience treating engineering quality as part of the job, including pragmatic technical debt management and safe architectural decision-making.
• Ability to pick up unfamiliar code/systems and assess AI-generated output for flaws before issues reach users.
• Must be based in London and work from the Shoreditch office 3 days per week.
