What you will do

• Collaborate with AI researchers, clinicians, product managers, designers, and engineers to build AI health products.
• Own feature development from ideation and specification through deployment and iteration.
• Design, build, and optimize production-grade software across backend, web, mobile, or Applied AI domains.
• Evaluate AI features with Applied AI specialists and clinicians to maintain effectiveness and safety throughout their lifecycle.
• Ensure resilience, maintainability, security, and high-quality user experiences within a large existing architecture.
• Build engineering practices, hiring pipelines, and onboarding frameworks while guiding peers and supporting technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong software engineering experience with one or more of C#, C, C++, Java, Python, Rust, TypeScript, Swift, or Kotlin.
• Experience building products at scale in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, web, mobile, or Applied AI.
• Experience using AI coding agents to build production software while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and maintainability.
• Experience delivering products from 0 to 1 and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Role based in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology, regulated medical devices, or other high-trust, safety-critical products.
• Experience designing and operating agentic AI systems, including tool use, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, observability, and failure handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and an interest in emerging AI technologies and engineering practices.
