Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work. Work from abroad is available for up to six weeks per year with team alignment.

What you will do

• Build core features for the hirify.global flagship product, turning complex tax scenarios into simple and reliable user experiences.
• Partner with product management, design, and engineering to understand customer problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Own work end to end, from discovery and technical design through implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
• Contribute to technical direction, scalable design, quality, maintainability, and long-term product strategy.
• Use and evaluate AI-assisted development tools for exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Improve developer experience through tools, automation, DevOps practices, and reliable delivery processes.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience with React, Node, and reliable backend services and APIs.
• Ability to work across system boundaries and collaborate effectively beyond a primary frontend or backend specialization.
• Experience with a public cloud environment such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operating software in production.
• Understanding of authentication, databases, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated output critically, use effective prompting, and maintain high engineering standards.

• Experience with React Native.
