What you will do

• Confirm coverage by reviewing policies and supporting documentation to communicate coverage positions.
• Conduct and direct detailed investigations into loss facts and the extent of damages.
• Negotiate and settle moderate to high complexity claims, typically those in litigation.
• Direct and monitor assignments to outside counsel and experts to control expenses.
• Set reserves and present case updates to senior claims leaders and underwriters.
• Serve as a technical resource for the team, assisting with training and policy wording.

Requirements

• Must have US Work Authorization (no sponsorship provided).
• Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience, including 3 years as a Claims Examiner.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Must hold or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
• Strong knowledge of tort and contract law.
• Proven expertise in litigation management, negotiation, and mediation.

Nice to have

• JD, advanced degree, or a focused technical degree.
• Industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, or CPCU.
• Experience with CLM Claim College or Munich Re Training.
