Location: Hybrid (US). Must be based in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Scottsdale, or West Hartford. Requires working in office a minimum of two (2) days per week.

What you will do

• Adjust and resolve professional liability claims, including those involving litigation.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and correspondence in compliance with regulatory authorities.
• Communicate directly with claimants and attorneys to negotiate and resolve matters.
• Draft critical coverage letters, including reservation of rights and denial letters.
• Analyze claims to determine appropriate and timely reserving per best practices.
• Manage defense counsel and collaborate with the Special Investigations Unit to track fraudulent claims.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of claims handling experience in Professional Liability or Specialty claims with an insurance carrier.
• Advanced knowledge of claims analysis, adjusting practices, and legal filings.
• Proven ability to effectively negotiate settlement of moderate complexity claims.
• Active insurance adjuster’s license.
• B.A./B.S degree from an accredited College or University (JD is a plus).
• Must be based in one of the specified office locations (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Scottsdale, or West Hartford).
