What you will do

  • Investigate and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and potential damages.
  • Draft detailed coverage letters to insureds, explaining carrier positions, reserving rights, or denying coverage.
  • Conduct thorough investigations through interviews, property inspections, and review of legal/medical records.
  • Negotiate fair settlements with claimants while adhering to company guidelines and legal standards.
  • Maintain accurate claim records in digital systems, documenting all communications and meeting regulatory deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal management, coverage, and accounting units to discuss claim strategies.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United States.
  • JD with active bar membership OR 6+ years of senior complex claims experience (commercial auto, trucking, GL, excess, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a Claim Adjuster or similar role within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., claims adjuster licenses) or willingness to obtain them.
