What you will do

• Investigate Florida Workers’ Compensation claims to determine compensability and total value.
• Set and adjust reserves based on Florida Statutes, case law, and company philosophy.
• Direct defense counsel for litigated claims and make timely decisions on legal issues.
• Coordinate medical treatment with Nurse Case Managers and authorize services per Florida Statute 440.13.
• Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution, and indemnification opportunities.
• Maintain a 97% claim closure ratio and ensure timely state filings.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in the state of Maryland.
• Possess a FL-All Lines Adjuster or Workers’ Compensation License.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Lost Time/Legal claims handling.
• Experience with depositions, mediations, and litigation processes.
• College degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and claims software (e.g., IDatix, Workers Computation).
