What you will do

  • Manage and deliver academic field trip enquiries during peak academic periods (September–April).
  • Coordinate large, multi-component group bookings involving flights, rail, accommodation, coaches, and tours.
  • Source and book venues, conferences, and group accommodation outside of peak periods.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with academic and venue suppliers for commercially sound solutions.
  • Work with Sales and Account Management to grow academic business and strengthen client relationships.
  • Deliver professional proposals within agreed SLAs and achieve individual performance KPIs.

Requirements

  • Experience in group travel, field trips, or managing complex group bookings.
  • Proven commercial hotel contracting and negotiation experience.
  • Strong understanding of the academic sector and its specific travel operational needs.
  • Excellent logistical coordination and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of booking financials and commercial practices.
  • Location: Must be based in Manchester, United Kingdom

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of GDS and rail booking systems.
  • Experience using venue booking systems.
