What you will do

• Establish the vision and framework for profitability and sustainability using highly accurate TCO and CO2e modeling across the Automotive division.
• Define divisional sustainability goals and execution strategies to achieve carbon neutrality.
• Lead a global team of approximately 15 direct reports to drive cost improvement strategies.
• Develop and execute supplier and customer cost negotiation strategies in collaboration with Procurement and Account teams.
• Lead component engineering efforts to create a strategic component library aligned with long-term product goals.
• Coordinate synergy programs within the Samsung Group to leverage business scale.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in Cost Engineering, Sustainability, Procurement, or Manufacturing, preferably in the Automotive industry.
• 10+ years of specific experience in cost engineering, VM, or design to cost.
• 10+ years of experience leading diverse global teams to improve profitability and innovation.
• Scientific expertise in the semiconductor industry (10+ years), specifically related to chips, devices, and modems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economy.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic and international) and work in a hybrid setup in Garching.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with automotive electronics and corporate-level design to cost programs.
• Proficiency in German, Chinese, and/or Hungarian languages.
