Engagement Lead / Engagement Director (Fintech): Leading high-profile buy-side and sell-side integration and carve-out engagements for financial services clients with an accent on technology due diligence, target operating model design, and operational resilience. Focus on shaping service offerings, building the practice, and driving complex transaction programs from pre-deal planning through to Day 1 readiness.

What you will do

  • Lead pre-deal integration and separation planning, developing deal impact assessments and Day 1 readiness plans.
  • Design target operating models and blueprints that reflect transaction theses and financial services realities.
  • Assess IT and operations synergy opportunities, quantifying costs and benefits for leadership.
  • Facilitate cross-functional client workshops to drive alignment on operating model design and integration decisions.
  • Evaluate the impact of AI, data platforms, and emerging technologies on post-deal value creation.
  • Mentor team members and support business development through proposals, pitches, and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in integration and separation planning or post-merger transformation.
  • Essential: Deep experience in the Financial Services industry, including understanding of value chains and market participants.
  • Proven track record of leading pre-deal and early post-close workstreams across IT and business functions.
  • Strong ability to distill complex findings into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams and managing relationships with senior client stakeholders like CFOs, COOs, and CTOs.
  • Solid understanding of financial services operating models, technology landscapes, and regulatory considerations.
