Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: United States

Salary: $150,000–$210,000 base salary annually, plus variable and non-variable benefits.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of AI/ML projects, from problem framing and data acquisition through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured enterprise data, including preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Develop RAG pipelines with vector databases and embeddings, fine-tune and evaluate LLMs, and design agentic workflows with tools, planners, guardrails, and alignment mechanisms.
• Establish evaluation frameworks for hallucinations, calibration, bias, fairness, and adversarial behavior, along with model-risk governance documentation.
• Deploy and operate AI models in production using MLOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with AI and software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable AI solutions for financial services clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML solutions, including at least one production LLM agent or agentic workflow.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL, plus AI/ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience in consultative or client-facing roles and in working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud-native development, data warehousing, and platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, or AWS S3.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, transformers, NLP, agentic modeling, reinforcement learning, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain Agents, or DSPy.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, model-risk management, and trustworthy AI in regulated industries.
