TL;DR

Senior Claims Examiner (Management Liability): Resolution of moderate to high complexity claims in management liability with an accent on coverage inquiry, legal liability assessment, and quantum analysis. Focus on negotiating complex primary and excess policy claims, managing nationwide litigation, and mitigating indemnity exposure.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote). Must have US Work Authorization; no visa sponsorship provided

What you will do

  • Investigate, negotiate, and settle complex primary and excess management liability claims, including D&O, EPL, and Fiduciary Liability.
  • Analyze policy coverage, make determinations, and draft complex coverage correspondence for stakeholders.
  • Manage nationwide litigation against insureds, appointing and directing defense counsel to ensure economical resolution.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims management to alert them of significant case developments.
  • Manage TPA relationships and adhere to internal reporting and procedural guidelines.
  • Provide training and act as a technical referral point for other team members.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in management liability claims or litigation.
  • College degree and/or professional designation; JD preferred.
  • US Work Authorization required (no visa sponsorship now or in the future).
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues and develop action plans in a collaborative team environment.
