What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of captive insurance clients, including risk retention groups and reciprocal exchanges.
• Prepare periodic financial statement packages and quarterly/annual NAIC statements.
• Supervise, train, and mentor Staff Accountants to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Coordinate annual audits and actuarial reviews for client accounts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal controls, and ISMS procedures.
• Provide written analysis of financial statements and present findings at board meetings.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of general accounting experience, including 5 years in statutory or alternative market insurance.
• CPA designation or CPA candidate status.
• Up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and insurance accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.

Nice to have

• Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) or similar professional designation.
