What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes across multiple domestic and international entities.
• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements, management dashboards, and board packages.
• Oversee AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, premium recognition, loss reserving, and ceded reinsurance.
• Build SOX-ready policies, narratives, and testing protocols to mitigate risk and fill control gaps.
• Own the annual plan, rolling forecasts, and cash-flow projections to inform corporate decision-making.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for underwriting, data science, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in the insurance industry is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is preferred.
• At least 4 years of accounting experience.
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, and internal-control frameworks (SOX or similar).
• Proven experience leading end-to-end close and audit cycles under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
