Senior Accountant (Investments)

Location: Cincinnati, OH, United States; hybrid

What you will do

• Monitor daily investment activity and maintain accurate data in Clearwater.
• Review investment reconciliations, journal entries, pricing, fair value levels, expense accruals, and recurring investment reports.
• Prepare GAAP and statutory investment reporting for six insurance companies, including financial statements, investor supplements, yellow books, and statutory exhibits.
• Prepare investment portfolio analyses, committee and board materials, state insurance compliance reports, and AM Best reporting data.
• Coordinate investment transactions and account maintenance with banks, vendors, and state insurance departments.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain procedures, and assist with vendor contracts and invoicing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or auditing experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have
