Liability Lawyer

TL;DR

Liability Lawyer (Insurance Law): Managing a caseload of property liability and quantum claims for leading UK insurers with an accent on litigation, document review, and court advocacy. Focus on resolving complex disputes involving fires, water/oil escapes, and boundary issues while ensuring compliance with SRA standards.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Bolton, UK (Hybrid role).

What you will do

• Handle a caseload of liability and quantum claims independently.
• Review witness evidence, expert reports, and legal documentation.
• Draft court documents and prepare bundles for trial.
• Conduct investigations and legal research to support case strategy.
• Liaise with insurer clients and instruct counsel for conferences and trials.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and ADR processes.

Requirements

• Previous litigation experience.
• Knowledge of property insurance claims and liability disputes.
• Degree level education (preferably Law).
• Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency with case management systems and time recording.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
