Crime & Regulatory - Solicitor

What you will do

• Analyse prosecution evidence, client materials, medical records, post-mortem reports, transcripts, and CCTV evidence.
• Draft witness statements, submissions, defence case statements, sentencing materials, and mitigation bundles.
• Research legal and regulatory issues, including HSE guidance, and support case strategy.
• Liaise with courts, coroners, HSE, CQC, police, counsel, and external experts.
• Attend interviews under caution, inquests, and trials alongside counsel.
• Coordinate meetings, site visits, expert appointments, and sensitive client support.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with NQ–4 years PQE, ideally in health and safety, regulatory, inquests, Traffic Commissioner, or serious motor work.
• Strong written communication, legal research, and IT skills.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence using case management systems and working with detailed evidence.
• Calm, resilient, professional, collaborative, and empathetic when supporting clients under pressure.
