What you will do

  • Manage and progress a caseload of NIHL and other industrial disease claims to secure profitable outcomes.
  • Review documents, prepare reports, handle disclosure, and analyze evidence.
  • Conduct investigations, obtain witness statements, and instruct experts.
  • Attend conferences and trials and manage court appointments and timetables.
  • Liaise with insurers and insured parties to provide updates and take instructions.
  • Mentor and develop assistant fee earners within the department.

Requirements

  • Technical proficiency in handling NIHL disease cases.
  • Strong negotiation, verbal communication, and listening skills.
  • Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet targets.
  • Good level of IT proficiency.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Birmingham, UK.

Nice to have

  • Experience with other short tail disease cases.
