TL;DR

Senior Coordinator, Royalties (Finance): Managing royalty accounting processes and third-party payee accounts for high-profile artists and labels with an accent on accuracy, transparency, and contractual compliance. Focus on investigating royalty discrepancies, reconciling complex data, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient reporting.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY (Office-first, 4 days per week)

Salary: $55,000 USD

A leading global music distributor and artist services company operating in over 50 markets, blending industry expertise with data-driven technology.

What you will do

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual accounting processes to ensure timely statement delivery and payments.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of third-party payee accounts and contracts within internal systems.
  • Coordinate with Contract Administration and Business Affairs to resolve complex contractual queries.
  • Investigate royalty discrepancies and assist with audit preparations.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding reporting and payment status.
  • Document best practices to enable internal teams to self-serve.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work from the New York office 4 days per week.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including formulas and Pivot Tables.
  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience in royalty analysis or reporting-based roles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the music industry.
  • Familiarity with RoyaltyShare, Curve, or similar royalty management systems.
