Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Bolton office (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Proactively review cases to formulate initial costs strategies and settlement parameters.
• Prepare points of dispute and manage correspondence with opponents.
• Negotiate settlements via telephone and document case strengths and weaknesses.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and conferences in person or remotely.
• Provide comprehensive progress reports to clients in line with SLAs and KPIs.
• Delegate tasks to paralegals and support their technical development.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar costs negotiator role handling own caseload.
• Understanding of current cost case law and insurance litigation practice.
• Degree, LPC, or ALCD qualification.
• Proven experience in client liaison and the detailed assessment process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the Bolton office.
