Senior Manager, Compensation: Serving as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the design, implementation, and management of compensation programs with an accent on market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance. Focus on managing compensation strategy for a population of 500 employees, including support for the company’s upcoming Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Location: Must be based in California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington.
Salary: $120,000 - $135,000

What you will do
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of base salary, incentive programs, and compensation processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and senior leadership on compensation strategy and pay decisions.
- Conduct market pricing, salary surveys, and benchmarking analyses to maintain competitive positioning.
- Partner with leadership, HR, and Legal to support compensation strategy related to the company’s upcoming Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Manage relationships with external compensation vendors and consultants, ensuring tools and data sources support business needs.
- Leverage HR systems and compensation technologies to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of compensation programs.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in compensation.
- Must reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, SC, TN, TX, or WA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, or related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. multi-state compensation compliance and wage thresholds.
- Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, modeling, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating and managing external vendors for compensation systems and market data.
Nice to have
- CCP or similar certification.
- Experience with compensation practices in a unionized environment.
