What you will do

• Review and interpret insurance policies, endorsements, and statutes to determine coverage and exclusions.
• Draft and issue coverage position letters, including reservation of rights and denials.
• Manage investigations for high-exposure claims including environmental, construction defect, and professional liability.
• Develop and implement strategic claim resolution plans in coordination with defense and coverage counsel.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits while balancing legal risk and business objectives.
• Ensure all claims handling complies with Department of Insurance regulations and company protocols.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing or senior complex claims professional experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in insurance coverage analysis and policy interpretation.
• Experience issuing or advising on coverage positions, including RORs and denials.
• Strong understanding of liability, damages, and litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple high-severity, complex claims independently.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
