Causation File Handler (Legal): Managing a caseload of litigated RTA causation files for insurance clients with an accent on evidence analysis, case strategy, and litigation management. Focus on defeating dishonest motor claims and achieving commercially sound results through forensic analysis.

Location: Hybrid (Bolton, UK). Must attend the office at least one day a week.

What you will do

• Handle suspected causation cases from the point of litigation through to final resolution.
• Perform detailed review and analysis of evidence to establish and execute case strategies.
• Manage a range of fraudulent insurance claims, including Low Speed Impact and Non-Tariff Injury claims.
• Ensure full compliance with court timetables, SRA standards, and client-specific guidelines.
• Carry out case investigations and undertake advocacy where required and cost-effective.
• Maintain accurate billing and utilize Case Management Systems to ensure profitability.

Requirements

• Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler.
• Relevant legal qualifications such as ILEX or LPC.
• Knowledge of RTA pre-litigated/litigated caseloads and insurance indemnity principles.
• Working knowledge of the CPR, Personal Injury Protocols, and relevant working portals.
• Strong analytical, advocacy, and communication skills.
• Ability to work from the Bolton office at least one day per week.
