TL;DR

Litigated Fraud File Handler (Legal): Managing a caseload of suspected fraudulent insurance claims from litigation through to resolution with an accent on forensic evidence analysis and strategic litigation. Focus on achieving optimal commercial results, ensuring compliance with SRA standards, and protecting client positions in complex RTA and organized crime cases.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Bolton, UK (Hybrid: at least 1 day per week in office)

What you will do

  • Review and analyze evidence throughout the lifecycle of suspected fraudulent insurance claims.
  • Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with clients and technical leads.
  • Handle a caseload of litigated files on a non-delegated basis, ensuring adherence to client guidelines.
  • Conduct advocacy where required and cost-effective to protect the client's position.
  • Maintain accurate case management systems and ensure timely billing and financial target achievement.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties to conduct investigations and meet procedural deadlines.

Requirements

  • Experience in civil litigation claims handling or as a legal File Handler.
  • Working knowledge of the litigation process and CPR.
  • Understanding of insurance litigation practice, processes, and indemnity principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and client care skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Qualified solicitor or CILEX lawyer with necessary practice rights is desirable.
