Staff Engineer (Manufacturing Engineering)

Location: Cortland, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $93,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Determine manufacturing methods and processes for filtration products from start-up through production.
• Analyze engineering designs and develop conceptual sketches, tooling, fixtures, routings, procedures, and process documentation.
• Partner with manufacturing operations to improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, ergonomics, and on-time delivery.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, process variation reduction, waste reduction, standard work, and cell design optimization.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control initiatives and participate in New Product Introduction activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, mechanical, process, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and tooling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of manufacturing production, assembly, testing, and process control procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PLC programming.
• Experience with Minitab.
