Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States. Onsite role with up to 25% domestic and international travel. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $133,500–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide independent quality and reliability oversight for chemical and gas delivery hardware, including flow controllers, valves, regulators, vaporizers, gas panels, and related subsystems.
• Translate engineering and reliability requirements into acceptance criteria, qualification plans, validation protocols, and measurable quality evidence.
• Lead structured problem solving and corrective-action verification for flow drift, leakage, contamination, particle excursions, pressure instability, software issues, and component failures.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Reliability, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Product Support, laboratories, and suppliers on technical risk resolution.
• Maintain quality plans, control plans, risk registers, qualification evidence matrices, action registers, and auditable quality records.
• Apply SPC, process capability, measurement-system analysis, DOE, Pareto analysis, and reliability statistics to recurring technical problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with semiconductor equipment or comparable high-purity hardware.
• Hands-on knowledge of chemical and gas delivery hardware, including MFCs, FRCs, liquid flow controllers, pressure controllers, gas panels, and instrumentation.
• Experience with semiconductor processes such as CVD, PVD, ALD, etch, CMP, and EPI, including their chemical and gas delivery requirements.
• Expertise in root-cause analysis, 8D, 5-Why, fishbone, FMEA, CAPA, control plans, risk management, qualification, and validation.
• Experience with supplier quality, component qualification, incoming inspection, nonconformance processes, high-purity systems, leak testing, cleanroom protocols, SEMI standards, ISO requirements, and QMS.
