Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical (Manufacturing)

Location: Washington Works plant, Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States; onsite mechanical engineering role

Annual pay range: $85,801–$134,064 USD; annual bonus target: 6%

What you will do

• Support efficient field execution of mechanical maintenance work in a production unit.
• Address short-term issues involving fixed and rotating equipment to keep the plant operating.
• Develop job plans, procedures, and execution standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and support root cause analysis for significant events.
• Collaborate with mechanics, operations personnel, and other engineers.
• Implement improvement projects and smaller changes of design, including projects up to $500,000.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience, including co-op experience.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical engineering principles and experience diagnosing and solving technical problems using data-based decisions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience and practical knowledge of mechanical equipment repairs.
• Ability and willingness to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, and respirators.

Nice to have

• Four years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Experience specifying and repairing fixed and rotating equipment.
