TL;DR

Senior Director, Brand Strategy (Healthcare): Developing and overseeing brand strategies for healthcare and pharmaceutical accounts with an accent on market intelligence, customer insights, and brand positioning. Focus on synthesizing competitor data into actionable narratives and leading strategic planning to drive significant brand results.

Location: Remote/Hybrid. Must be based in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington DC, or Toronto.

Salary: $120,000 - $190,000 a year

What you will do

  • Lead the synthesis of market, competitor, and audience intelligence into narratives that drive executive decision-making.
  • Anticipate market shifts and competitive dynamics to evolve brand strategies proactively.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, consolidating research to ensure strategies reflect unmet patient needs and motivations.
  • Develop brand strategy foundations, including positioning, messaging, and competitive strategy.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Account, and Scientific teams to ensure seamless strategy integration across all outputs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising agency environment.
  • Proven track record in patient pharmaceutical marketing and relevant category experience.
  • Expertise in leading strategic planning discussions and collaboration sessions.
  • Strong analytical rigor and ability to sell strategic recommendations to clients using data-driven rationale.
  • Proficiency in creating high-quality client presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
