What you will do

• Lead functional solution design for Record-to-Report (R2R) and close operations, translating business intent into scalable system capabilities.
• Define and evolve the multi-year platform vision to modernize the close stack and converge fragmented tools.
• Re-engineer close and reporting workflows using Standardize → Simplify → Automate principles to reduce manual touchpoints.
• Develop AI workflows for reconciliations, anomaly detection, and agentic close orchestration to deliver productivity gains.
• Drive cross-functional program execution from requirements through delivery, managing scope and dependencies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior Finance and Tech leaders on prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in finance systems with deep expertise in R2R and Close operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP, Workday, NetSuite) and EPM ecosystem tools.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX-relevant processes within a systems environment.
• Proven track record in process re-engineering and standardization across multiple stakeholders.
• Location: Must be based in San Diego, California

• Master’s degree (MBA) or professional certifications such as CPA, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and EPM Cloud modules (FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, Narrative Reporting).
• Experience working in technology, SaaS, or fintech industries at scale.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled finance capabilities and operationalizing them in controlled environments.
• Familiarity with low-code automation platforms and their governance models.
